  • E2 Visa No longer employed

I have an individual who worked for me under an E2 visa classification and his employment was terminated in January 2007. I suspect he is still working in the US elsewhere, albeit I clearly explained to him both verbally and in writing that since his employment ceased in January he can no longer legally work in the US. I want to ensure that the INS are aware he is no longer my employee and therefore his E2 visa is no longer valid but I cannot find anywhere the process to follow to inform the INS on a persons change in status with regard to a work visa.

In any case, you're not legally liable, so it isn't YOUR problem - but whoever employs him next.

In any case . . . check the uscis.gov, "Services and Benefits", "Employer Information"
