E3 renewal question

Hi guys,

I have been doing some digging around trying to find out what I need to do,
to renewal my E3 visa. I came across this website which seems to provide the best information so much.

situation:
- I got my initial E3 in Feb 2006 and it's finishing in Feb 2008 (yes very soon).
- I am still working for the same company and they have already put in the petition for I-129 for a Non-immigrant worker.
- I have received my Approval Notice (I-797A stating E3 is valid to 02/12/2010

So basically what do I need to do now, on the notice it clearly states that this is "not a visa nor may it be used in place of a visa". From my little research it seems I need to leave the country and apply for a visa again, this is correct?; Do i have to go back to Australia or can i go to canada to apply? has anyone done this before?

E3 renewal question

Hi Guys,

How does this E3 renewal works?
Why this 2 yrs Visa again?
I've heard some thing else like Life Long Visa or Indefinite Visa after the completion of the first 2 yrs, if I'm not wrong?

Anyway, can you please let me know the exact procedure?

sorry it's a year later
If you got your Approval Notice (similar to many other visa types) you do not need to go outside of the country. That means that your status was renewed in the US system and you can continue to work for your company.
However, in case you want to go OUTSIDE of the US - even Canada - you will need to do a new PHYSICAL visa in any of the consulates outside of the US.
