Work permit USCIS

Hi,

I am on an E2 Dependent visa and have applied for the work permit. As it takes up to 3 months I was wondering if anybody knows if I can already start working or if I have to wait till my work permit arrives.

wait for the work permit.
your employer would ask for it before they hire you.
