pinoy on E3 visa.. help

I am a Filipino and just arrive here in the usa 5 months ago on E3 Visa, skilled immigrant. I received my green card already, Unfortunately, my sponsor did not give me a job yet, so i am here waiting for the position to open.

my question is, can i apply for another company? what are the rules involve in this ?, since i am gonna be penniless by the time they give me the job.

I believe you can. Once you have a greencard I think you can do whatever you want. Not sure though.

What type of application did they use with your E3? I have E2, ginamit ba nila ang PERM sa case mo? How long did it takes?
