Five years ago, my E3 visa renewal was denied due to a lack of strong ties to Australia. However, since then, we have acquired a property and my wife has become a permanent resident of Australia. Is owning property and having a permanent resident spouse sufficient to meet the strong ties requirement? Is it necessary to mention the previous rejection on the DS-160 form, even if it occurred more than 5 years ago? Keep in mind that it's not the only factor that the authorities consider. The more you can show your connection and commitment to Australia, the better your chances are.
