Hello everyone,
my company that I work for under H1/B is ending their business in about 2 months. My current visa is expiring in Mar 31st so renewal is out of question. I was recommended by my attorney to open business in US and stay under E-2 visa.
My questions are:
1) is investment of $100000 really necessary?
2) I have machinery available to put into the business worth about $80000 but is this enough do I have to have any operating cash of substential amount?
3) Do I have to have 100% ownership? If not what is recommended minimum?
4) I do not have any employees yet, is it enough to show intent of employment?
5) Do I setup business before E2 or after?
6) Can I apply in US or do I have to travel back to my country?
7) Is $6000 in legal fees common attorney compensation
8) Haw hard is it to do the application myself since I'm in time press?
Thank you for your answers.
