Had a green card but left USA

Hi there
I got a permanent Green Card when I was 10 and then my parents left USA.This was in 1982! Is it easier to re-apply for a new one if you had one before and you left because of your parents?

No, in fact it is difficult as you abandoned the GC before.

You had GC, but it has been abandoned long time ago. It is now irrelevant. You cannot resurrect it.

You can get a new green card, just like any other applicant. Many people have had 2 GCs in their life. Having earlier GC is no reason to deny a new one.
