Hello,
My name is Charlie Wong, I will be going to the US on Feb 4 to attend a 4 month program called the Founders Institute. It is an incubator program that consists of registering and incorporating in the US.
By the end of the program we will have:
1. Solid business plan
2. Meet investors and potentially get funded
3. Incorporate in US that will involve sharing of company, and getting board of directors
4. Clear road map to business
5. Employment for US citizens
I am a Canadian Citizen starting a business in the US. I know I will need an E-2 Visa and around $50,000, employing from around 3-5 employees, with benefits, and paying taxes.
In my situation, I may potentially be getting funding from around 50K to 500K. Will I need to still bring $50k to my company or can that be negotiated? Or do I apply for NF or L-1 Visa? Or are there other options for a situation like this.
Thanks Charlie
