L1B Visa -- Advance Parole

My Current L1B is expiring on December 2012 and has valid I94 till 2015, I know I can stay and work with same employer until my I94 expired.
Also my labor approved and I-140 applied last week waiting for decision

My question is,
1. If I want to travel to India by March 2013 is there any option to come back? (With valid I94 my company said no need to apply extension also they are not ready to apply extension they are going to apply H1B by April 2013)
2. Can I get Advance parole without getting L1B extension and come back to US

When are you completing 5 Years stay on L1? One should not stay on I-94, even if valid, if 5 years on L1 has completed.

1. If you travel to India after December 2012 you would need a valid visa to re enter US. You will either have to apply for L1 and go for new stamping or apply H1 in April 2013 and travel on H1 01-Oct-2013 or later.

2. In my opinion if your 485 is pending you can apply for advance parole. Even Advance parole requires you to submit strong reasons why you need to travel.
