Can we file L1 & L2 Visa extension and L2 EAD extension simultaneously?

Hi,

I am on L2 Visa and working with EAD . now our both L1 and L2 visa are going to expire on 8th Dec 12 (I-94 too). And Company is going to file L1 and L2 visas for extension in this week.

Now I want to file my L2 EAD extension as well.

Can we file L1 & L2 Visa extension and L2 EAD extension simultaneously?

Or do I need to wait till we get L1 and L2 visas?

Why you delayed filing the extension till last date? You can file all of them together, but USCIS might not approve all of them together. In that case you should work only after getting the EAD. This is one of the reason USCIS allows one to file extensions up to 6 months in advance.

Company has different strategy to file at last minute visa extensions...

Yaa I completely agree with you, but extension filing is at Company end....and they have different strategy and for all extentions, they are filing last minute...and all the L1 ppl can continue work till the decision...thatz why they are filing lately and they dont bother abt L2 EAD

and one more...friends suggested me that I can get permission from a senator to continue work...

let me know if we have any other options so that I can continue in my job...

I am not sure if that will help unless the mandatory time period has elapsed. Even then they might ask you take infopass appointment first. I believe there is an issuance of temporary card after 90 days of wait. Read experiences at http://www.immihelp.com/ead-workpermit-experiences/
