Spelling error between Last Name in passport/visa and marriage certificate(SSN,EAD)

Hello,

I am going to USA around 15th Decmeber,2012 along with my wife.I am having L1 visa & my wife has L2 visa.

My wifes last name(surname) in passport & visa is Madhawani while our marriage certificate has surname Madhwani.

Will there be issues while applying for SSN and EAD.

I have an affidavit( from govt. of India) saying that both the names belong to same person.Will this be sufficient document to solve issues.

Pls help.
