  • Questions regarding L1B extension

    Hi All,

I do have some questions regarding my L1B extension. Thanks in advance for your valuable answers.
    My L1B visa details are
    Visa expiry date - Dec 28. 2012
    I-94 expiry date - Dec 28. 2012
    L1B extension filed on - Dec 12. 2012
Current Status in USCIS - Intial review of I129 PETITION FOR A NONIMMIGRANT WORKER

    So my questions are
    1. If I leave to India before my decision came, Will be my petition abonded?
    2. In case of my extension rejected, Will it affect my next visa interview in India?
    3. In case my petition approved, Can I go to India and come back to US or do I need to go for Visa interview again?
    4. In case I have to attend for the Visa interview in India, Is there any preference/chance of approval as my extension petition in US is already approved?

    1. YES
    2. NO
    3. If you go and return before 28-Dec-2012 you need not go for interview otherwise you will have to as your visa will expire on 28-Dec-2012.
    4. No one can predict what additional documents are requested fif they feel the necessity.

This is my opinion not legal advice.
