EAD l2 visa

Hi, I am in the US on L2 visa and have to apply for EAD however my visa expires in 2 months. My husband and I will be applying for extension. Is it ok to apply right now and will my EAD get processed if my visa is in extension state?

You can file EAD along with the extension request.
