Hello all,
I worked in company A from 2005 to June 2010. I then worked in company B from June 2010 to July 2012. I have been working since July 2012 at company C.
Now I have this offer from company A to join their Atlanta office. Company A has been around for a while (publicly listed in BSE/NSE) and their Atlanta office also has been operational for a while. I intend to quit C and join A, end of this month.
Now the question(s):
(i) Since "L-1 visas are available to employees of an international company with offices in both the United States and abroad. The visa allows such foreign workers to relocate to the corporation's US office after having worked abroad for the company for at least one continuous year within the previous three prior to admission in the US", and I was in company A in the last 3 years for 1 continuous year, am I eligible to apply for an L1 visa? To be explicit, I was in A from for the 1 year from June 2009 to June 2010 (which is "within the previous three prior") and I will be entering USA in May 2013.
(ii) My designation would be "Director - Sales". Does that mean I am eligible for an L1-A visa?
(iii) Sorry I haven't searched the forums, but is there a cap for L1s? Is the process fast enough that I can apply in Feb 2013 and enter USA before May?
