Can I continue to work on different petition (L1) even after expiry of I94(L2)

Hi, I am currently in US on L2 and my I-94 is valid till March '13. Recently I got my L1 petition approved. Please let me know if I can continue to work on L1 petition even after I-94 expiry?

What do you mean you got a petition approved? Didn't you get and associated extended I-94? If not then you cant work/stay beyond March 2013. Visa allows you to enter the US, I-94 decides your legal stay in US. If you dont have a valid I-94 you cant stay.
