L1B Extension approved, Need to Leave US

Hi,

My L1 B Visa had expired. Company filed for extension. It was approved.
They said I-94 is extended so I can stay in US.
Now I need to go to india for a month.

If I go to India, will I have to file completely new L1 B Visa OR just get new visa stamped based on I-94 Extension I received?
I believe, chances of getting completely new L1 B visa are less and chances of getting new visa stamped based on I-94 extension is more.
Please correct me if I am wrong.

I believe what was extended was only the I-94, in order for you to return you need to fill DS-160 and schedule an Interview at US consulate in India(Chennai if I am not wrong) with the L1B petition and related supporting documents and I129 in order to get a new visa stamping done. As for chances of L1 getting stamped , no one can guess, it depends upon the visa officer who takes your L1 interview.

Did you get any RFE ?my l1 is also on extn I have received a RFE .
