  • New Born Child in USA; need to travel back after 1 month of birth

    Hi All,

I have read multiple posts regarding passport, travel requirements for a new born child, but I could not find something specific to my problem and hence I thought I would post my issue here.

I am currently on an L1 visa in US and my wife is on L2.

We are expecting a baby around April last week this year and my company has just informed me that my project would end on May 31, 2013. This means that I have only 4 - 5 weeks to process all the required documents (SSN, Birth Certificate, US Passport, PIO Card) before I can fly back with my spouse and baby.

Is it possible to complete all these formalities within the specified time frame?

    Look forward to your responses.

    Regards,
    Mohit

SSN and birth certificate - To be arranged through hospital at the time of birth.
US passport - Apply for expedited processing at higher charge.
PIO Card - Can't say anything.
