  • Are there other persons travelling with you ? (DS160)

I am applying for L1B VISA and filing DS160.

For the question : are there other persons travelling with you ? Few questions arise in my mind are:

    1. If I select "yes" and given spouse (dependent with no prior VISA) details, then is it mandatory that my spouse and me should attend for stamping on the same day? What happens if she attend for stamping individualy after my VISA get confirmed?

    2. If I select "NO" and my spouse attending for stamping individualy after my VISA get confirmed. whether the Primry person (me) should be in U.S. to get dependent VISA to be stamp ?

    3. Can I process L1 (for me) and L2 (for my spouse) individually one-by-one and then both can travell?

Please help.. Answer each of my question individually for more calirty.

    Thanks
    Naren

    1. No need. Spouse can attend visa interview separately.
    2. No need even if primary applicant is not in US the dependents can still go ahead with visa interview.
    3. Yes you can.
Travel plan mentioned in the DS-160 is only a tentative plan not hardbound.

This is my opinion not legal advice.
