New L1A Application, Passport expires in 2 years.

Hi, I am in process of applying for l1a visa, i have read l1a is valid and given for 3yrs. But my passport expires in 2 years from now. So there could be chance that officer could reduce visa validity to 2yrs. I want to avoid this and want full 3yrs validity for my visa.

should i go for passport renewal using tatkal ? and then apply for l1A

please advise.

2 Years passport validity is more than enough.

If approved the passport validity will not be an issue in your case.
