Will H4/Tourist Visa affect my future L1 visa?

Folks,

I was wondering which visa is good for a short vacation trip to U.S. I am currently working in India and my hus is in U.S. I was thinking about applying for H4 or Turist visa. I dont know which one is better? Could someone shed some light please? My employer is also planning to apply L1 in June. So if i get an H4 or Turist visa, will it affect my chances of getting L1?. Please reply. I am worried

If your spouse is already in US on an H1 I think you should process H4. An H4 has higher chances of approval than a B2 tourist visa.

It should not affect your L1 processing.

Thanks raghvi. Do you know if there any benefits to H-4 compared to a tourist visa from a short term stay perspective?
