spouse passport not ready during L1 petition

Hi,

my company is going to apply for L1 premium petition, but right now my wife and children passports are not ready, is it possible to apply for L1 petition with out my wife and children passports. is it necessary to send my dependents passports for petition?

but by the time my petition approved, i will get my dependents passports, so that i can go for visa interview along with my dependents.

Yeah, Dependants are not included in petition processing. They are included while going for stamping .
