  • Chances to get I-94 on L1B

    Hello Immi,

I have my approved L1B, and will be expiring on 2nd Feb 2014 but I have never traveled to US due to some circumstances.

Just wanted to check with you, if I am travelling to US on same L1B by Mar 2013, then for how long I can get I-94 after my visa expiry date and what are the chances.

Please let me know as soon as possible.

Generally L1B I-94 are given for 3 Years if passport not expiring before that. But this is not a rule, and depends solely on the immigration officer at the port of entry.

This is my opinion not legal advice.

The above is true for Blanket L1B. Generally 3 years are given. But even if it is given according to the Visa expiry date, stay can be extended later.
