  • How can I leave legally USA after I resign my job on L1B in USA?

I am working on L1B for my company in USA and I have L1B valid visa till Dec 2014. However I want to resign for this company now and leave to India for looking for another better opportunity. So can any one let me know how can I leave USA legally after I resign my job on L1B. My question is intended to get more details on the following.

    1. If I resign my job on L1B today, it definitely takes 1 day for getting released from my company to fulfill all formalities.
So is it allowed to leave USA with L1B Visa expired ?
I believe it must be allowed since otherwise it means nobody on L1B can ever resign in USA.
So my question is: If I resign my job while I am on L1B today, and if it takes 1 day for my company to complete all releasing formalities, how sudden should
    I be leaving from USA?

Please share your expert advice on this.

Though officially there is no grace period available after one resigns, a week stay after resignation should not mess up your immigration records.

This is my opinion not legal advice.

      Thank you Raghvi!

Can any one share their experience where you resigned while you were on L1B and travelled out of USA?
Was there any difficulty for immigration for such persons?
