H1b to L1-A Visa

Hi

I am working in USA since March 2008 to till date (5 yrs). I have only one more year valid stay in USA as per my I-94(6 yrs completion). I am planning to move H1B to L1A.

I have worked in the same company in outside USA before 2008 (worked atleast 3 years).

Am I eligible to change H1B to L1-A now? Am I eligible to get 7 years stay with L1A(including H1B stay).

No you are not eligible to move to L1A as of now. One of the basic eligibility of L1 A is......

"....the named employee must also:

Generally have been working for a qualifying organization abroad for one continuous year within the three years immediately preceding his or her admission to the United States....."

Since you are in US itself since last 5 Years you wouldnt qualify....The only way for you to stay beyond 6th Year is if you file GC 365 days before your 6th Year expiry.
