Hello, I have valid L1b visa to US till 2015. I'm planning to apply dependents visa to my family and here's my problem.
In my wife passport she has surname perfectly. But her surname is not available in my passport 'Spouse Name' field and in my one of child's passport 'Mother's name' field. I applied for reissue of passport to my child and went to Passport Seva kendra today 19th Mar 2013. They have rejected for reissue of passport and said surname missing is not a problem in my child's passport and in my passport. They also mentioned if applicant has surname that's enough and not a problem if parent's surname missing in child's passport or spouse passport.
I'm little worrying if I apply dependence visa and reject due to this reason.
Pl suggest is this an issue and not a problem without surname in my child's passport.
Appreciate early response.
