  • L2 ead - gc

    Hi,

My husband is working on L1 A and his company doesn't do GC processing.

I am working on L2 EAD, is there anyway i can get GC processing (labor and I 140) without my husband's empolyer?

    Please suggest.

    Thanks,
    Surya

Yes - but it would be YOUR employer sponsoring YOU for a green card - your husband would become, so to speak, your dependent. However, as YOU would be the sponsored person, the fact that your husband is on an L1A visa won't help your application. In other words - the benefits associated with L1A when applying for residency (EB2, EB1 category) won't extend to you.

You will need to work with YOUR employer's immigration lawyer to sort out on which category you'll apply - and if you end in EB3, be prepared to wait 10+ years.
