I have a L1B visa petition initiated by my employer on feb,2012 and the validity is till feb 2015. I did not go for stamping yet. My employer now says that there are some new rules in US stamping for L1B and by that, it is mandatory to go for stamping within 6 of the visa initiation.
Now since I did not go for visa stamping with in six months of visa initiation, my petition is itslef invalid and I have to file a new petition. I did not receive any mailers regarding this from my employer too.
Please let me know if there is any chance of using this petition and go for stamping or anyway I can re-use my petition.
Or Should my employer file a new petition.
