L1-B to H1 conversion (Going to India after H1 filed)

Hello

Presently I am working on L1-B Visa. My L1-B visa is valid until 1st Aug 2013. Recently my employer filed my H1-B. lottery status don't know as of now.Now I am planning to go India just one week trip.

is it Ok to go to India when we apply for H1? I mean is there any problem when COS ?

Avoid. Your I-94 will change, you might get I-94 only till 01-August-2013 upon return, in that case on what status will you stay from 01-August-2013 till 01-Oct-2013? Strongly advised to avoid travel during a COS.

I am planning to go with L1-B extension as well to continue my stay period.
