  • L1 Visa rejection due to Family Green Card application

    Hi

My brother plans to apply for a family based green card for me next month. However, my company is planning to send me on a L1/L2 visa probably within the next one year. My concern is-will my L1/L2 visa be rejected or chances of getting the internal transfer to US be affected due to the Green Card application?

    Thanks and regards,
    Rajeev

The L-1 is a dual-intent visa. This means that, while it is a non-immigrant visa, you may have immigrant intentions.

Your I-129, or visa, will not be denied based solely on the fact that you have a pending I-130.
