Hi,

I would like to know about the stay during i94 period and its future effect on our re entry into the country.
Me and my spouse have our :
visa validity (L1 and L2) till 20th June 2013
I94 validity till 19th February 2016

My question is , is it safe to continue with our stay during the i94 period with no consequences on our future entries into the country or applying for different visas or GC in future?

My spouse has applied for EAD, would the EAD be valid or extended till end of i94 as well? Would there be any complications in future?

You can stay till I-94 date and will get EAD till I-94 date too. Just make sure you dont exceed the 5 Years stay in US limit of L1B visa. Also, after 20th June 2013 if at all you leave US, in order to return you would need a valid visa.

In this case there is a difference in the type of visa you have.

If you applied for your visa under a blanked L-1 petition, raghvi's answer is true. If you applied for your visa under an individual L-1 petition, your work authorization ends with the petition end-date. While you may stay in the U.S. based on your I-94, you are no longer authorized to work. This could have consequenses for future applications.
