  • L1B visa valid but project terminated suddenly

    Hi Team,

Need some help. If I am working in the US on a L1 visa valid for 3 years and if the project itself (that I am working on) gets suddenly terminated because of any reasons, then what happens. Can my company deploy me to any other project with a different client? will I need to get any changes done to my L1 visa?

Also, what happens if I am yet to travel on L1 visa and the client suddenly ends the contract with my company? Can I still travel to the US and work for some other client? Does it require changes to the visa or is it rendered useless and another one needs to be reapplied?

    Please provide your suggestion.

You are employed by your company and your company sponsored your visa so you can work on different projects.

This is my opinion, not legal advice.

        Hello Approva,

Though your I 129 says that you are or will be working for a specific customer and at a specific location, then also you can work for different clients.

This is my opinion, not legal advice.
