  • l1 visa and I94 expired on may 2nd 2013. L1 extension in process. Can I drive in Tx?

    Hi,

My L1 visa, drivers license and I94 expired on May 2nd 2013. My company has filed a new L1 extension under normal process and they are expecting a decision by the end of July 2013.

Can you please provide me solutions for the following:
    1) I live in the state of texas and will I be able to extend my driving license based on the L1 extension receipt number?
    2) I have searched in some forums and have found out that this state does not renew licenses based on receipt numbers. If so, Will I be able to drive based on my international drivers license OR a foreign country license for these three months?

Please advise me if there is any other possibility of getting my license renewed. Thanks in advance.

Check with the state DMV, they are the best resource. If they cannot renew your licence, unfortunately you will not be able to drive. You will be in trouble if you get pulled over.
This is my opinion and not legal advice.
