L2 to L1 , L1 returns back

Hello,
Just need you guys help with the following situation: I am on L1B and my wife has a L2 + EAD. Valid for another year and half. If i will need to return back, so can my wife stay back and continue with her job? Is yes, can i get her visa converted to L1?

No. L2 is dependent visa. Without L1 maintaining status by being present in US and gettign paid, L2 also loses the status and cannot stay in US while L1 is away fro extended period of time.

As for her eligibility to convert to L1 , yes , if she s eligible her employer has to file an L1 petition, you cannot do on your own.
