transition from F1 opt to L1

I have an Indian company wanting me to work here. Since that company is not registered in US they can't do my H1 but I can get my L1.
Only issue here is that I have not worked with the Indian company for a year but I did work for them part time here researching for the markets in the Us.

Just want to know if a lawer is involved in such situation would I be able to transition to L1?
