Minimum work experience for L1B Blanket

Hi,

I am going to have my L1B Blanket Visa interview on next to next week. But I am little confuse about my work experience eligibility for L1B. I am having total 4yrs 11months of work experience. But in DS-160 form I could not filled up my first company experience (2yrs) due to the phone number section (as that was the mandatory field and my 1st company is not in operational, hence no phone number is working). So I ended with my current and previous company profile wich is having a total of 2yrs 11 month experience.

Please let me know if I am eligible or not for L1B Blanket.

Experience though a factor but is not the only factor determining your eligibility for an L1B. L1 B is typically for "specialized knowledge relating to the organization’s interests" So you should be specialized in a/many particular process, product, methodology, function which is unique to your organization.

Though your experience does appear to be on the lower side but again it depends upon the product/technology you working on and how much documentation you can provide to convince the officer that your skill set is unique in terms of your organization and industry.

For example, a person can possibly be not considered specialized in a skill set ABC when there are many available in the market with those skill sets but if the person has worked on the skill set ABC building a unique product XYZ which is a patent of that company then that makes person unique. So it depends on case to case basis.

The only experience requirement is that you must be working for the foreign branch of the petitioner for at least 1 year during the past 3 years in that position.

Thanks for the info. That means, if I am currently working with ABC Corp. for 1.5 Years and Petition has been done by U.S. ABC Corp. then I'm eligible. Am I right?
