Chances of getting L1-B Visa after H1-B not selected in Lottery

Hi,

I didn't select in this year H1-B lottery and my current company is ready to do L1-B visa. To qualify for L1-B, I understand that I should complete one year with my current company. By August 2013 I will complete my one year tenure here. From Nov '12 to Dec '12, for one month I went to USA on business visa to attend training in my customer place.

Now after August '13 if I apply for L1-B visa what are the chances of getting visa with respect to the above said travel period to USA and not selecting in H1-B lottery. If everything goes fine, once my L1-B petition approves, during the time of L1-B interview, will they have the information that I haven't picked in H1-B lottery for this year? I know that my last travel to USA information will be there with them.

Some where I have seen that I should not travel to USA on business visa in last one year if I am applying for L1-B. Is that correct? If yes, what are the chances of getting L1-B visa.

Your H1 application an dnon selection would not have any impact on the L1 decision. Also, understand that L1B is not only about 1 Year experience in current company, there are many more requirements that need to be fulfilled. If all your documentation and justification are in order you can get L1. The chances, no one can predict.
