I am on a H1-B since the last 7 months in AR. My father has a L1 and he is visiting the US (PIT, PA) in July. Even though his meetings are in PIT, he is planning to come to AR straight from India (he will arrive on Friday 12th July at 10am directly at AR), stay the weekend in AR with me and head back to PIT Sunday evening for his 5 day meeting starting Monday 15th July.
When I came here, I had to get my employer to verify my i9 within 3 business days. Does he have a similar requirement for L1 visa? If so, assuming Friday is also counted, he will have Mon and Tue to do so. My question is, can he arrive and stay at a different state (AR) than what his invite letter says (PA) for the weekend before heading over to PIT? I believe he can still go and have his i9 processed on Monday, the 15th?
