  • Clarification on L1-A and holding L1-B I 94

    Hi,

I am currenty with I-94 (validity till 2015) in US and my L1B has expired in 2012. Hence, I am not eligible foor L1B extension as I-94 is too far from now.

I am planning to do new L1-A visa, and my question is if I file for new L1-A now anf if the petition rejects in worst case whether my current I-94 also will be gone?

Can anyone please explain me the procedure in detail?

    Thanks in adavnce,

Your L1B I-94 will not be invalidated if COS to L1A is rejected. Also, do remember L1B can only be valid for 5 years stay in US even if you have an I-94 beyond 5 Years.
This is my opinion not legal advice.

Thanks a lot Raghvi for the response.

One more clarification, I am about to process B2 visa for my in-laws and will there be any problem to process vosa for them as my L1B has expired? but having valid I94.

      Thanks in advance

They can certainly apply for their Visitor Visas.
This is my opinion and not legal advice.
