L2 EAD query

Hello,

I have a L2 visa valid till Jan2015. L1 visa holder is my wife whose L1 visa has expired but her I94 is valid till Dec2014.

Can I apply for EAD ? Is EAD for L2 based on L1 visa validity or I94 validity of principal applicant ?

L2 Visa itself is primarily based on L1 visa and L1 I-94. Even if L2 gets visa/I-94 beyond L1 visa holder one should not use the visa/I-94 beyond primary L1's I-94.

Yes you can apply for EAD as your spouse's I-94 is still valid. You may get EAD valid till your or your spouse's I-94 but as I said earlier, you should not plan on staying/using the EAD beyond your spouse's I-94.
