  • Muslim Marriage Certificate for L2 visa

    Hi,
I have raised L1 for me this month.& will be raising L2 for my wife next month after I travel to US.
I have got married last year, but dont have the marriage certificate from the registrar.I have the certificate signed by Qazi.
I have not updated my wife's name as my spouse in my passport.
Is this certificate from Qazi sufficient for my wife??? Or will it cause a problem for her during L2 interview, as I wont be there with her.
    Please provide your valuable advice.

    Thanks.

->To answer your question about changing name, its not mandatory. Its your choice whether to change name or not. I did not change as i too did not have time.
->Certificate from Qazi is not sufficient if you do not have time for registrar appointment, you can inquire about notarizing the certificate (THIS IS AN OPTION I HEARD FROM SOMEWHERE).
