  • Valid L1b Visa and extended i-94.

    Hi,

My Visa is expiring next year (May,2014) and this year in Jan, I went to India and on my return my i-94 got extended until Mar,2016. I want to know if I can travel to India this december (Dec 2013) and will my i-94 be still valid or I ll get the same i-94 again. Please let me know if I can do this.

As you leave US your I-94 would be taken by the airlines authority and its your responsibility that they do take it. As and when you return you would be given a new I-94 and no one can predict the date you will get on that. With the I-94 process automated now, and one no longer getting the paper card, many entrants are been given I-94 only till Visa validity date.

This is my opinion not legal advice.
