New I94 rules - L1 expiry date still stamped greater than visa expiry date ?

Hi All,

My details are as below:
Visa type : L1
Visa expiry date: December 30 2013
I94 expiry date : January 2016

I plan to visit India in September 2013.
Per new I 94 system , is I-94 still getting stamped with expiry date more than visa expiry date (for L1 Visa holders) or the process has changed ?
I would like to know from L1 visa holding people who have traveled outside USA after April 2013. Please help.

Yes, I traveled in June,2013. I got I-94 till June 2016.

Don't know why!!!
