  • L2 - Gc

    Hi,

X is on L2. X is working on EAD for company Y.
    • Can GC be filed by company Y?
    • Does she need to be on that company's H1 for them to apply for GC?
    • Can they apply for labor approval as future employer?
    • At what stage of GC does she need to be on the H1 by that company?

your reply would help us immensely

    thanks,

    Applying GreenCard on L2 EAD?

I am also in the same situation, if you get any answers can you please inform me?
Working on L2 EAD for company X.
Does company X can apply for future Green Card? If so at what stage of the process does she need H1 on Company X.

    Thanks in advance

Green Card (Labor Certification) is always for future employment. Your current employment with the company has no connection to your Labor Filing. . When you get your EAD card after you apply for your GC you do not have to transfer H1. However, I would maintain H1 Status until the 140 is approved.

This is not a legal advise. Use at your own risk!

        Query Regarding GC and H1

        Hi,
Came across your forum and it is really informative and helpful.

I am currently on L2 with my EAD and working.
However I had to substantiate more yrs of exp for my job.
If I allply for GC thru my employer, will he come to know that I have ****d exp.
Also, when filing for GC will it be known and checked that I had ****d exp.

Pls advice me regarding H1 for similar case too.

Your history will be revelead soon. You will not only be terminated for lying but also could have severe problems lying on immigration forms.

I am not a lawyer and you need to consult with one to validate any info posted on the forum and discuss your case specifics. H1b Question? Read the FAQ first.

Set your record straight by joining another employer with your 'real' resume. This is the best thing to do.

                sorry for late reply.
Can my current employer file for my GC?
I am on L2 working for an american firm.
Can they apply for a GC for me?
Further my L2 is expiring next year.
Do I have to extend my L2 for applying for GC?
When can I start the GC process?

                Please help.
