How much important is that question? because I have seen in so many posts that VO has asked this perticular question in the interview

Technically there is no minimum salary. But if it is really low it can cause problems. After all, L1B is for sepcialized skill sets and if one is not getting paid above average then it raises doubts whether the skill set is really special.
