Change status from F1 to L1

Hi

I owned a Engineering supply company for the past 7 years in South Africa and came to the US on a F1 to do an engineering course. Is it possible to open a branch for my business in the US and do a change from F1 to L1 while I am in the country? I have checked and I can still study part time on a L1.

You can do change of status from F-1 to L-1 as long as you have been attending school and can overcome any questions about your original intent of coming to the US.
