Dear Forum,

I have worked in an India office from March-2006 to July-2012 on product development.
Now I am working in some other organization since last one year.
US business unit from my last organization are ready to file L1B individual petition for me.

Please let me know whether this is possible or not as I am currently not working for same organization, but I have worked for more than 1 year in last three years for that organization.

If not, do I need to join India office first?

Yes it is possible without you needing to join the India office.

Technically it is possible because you meet the minimum qualification- you have worked for at least 1 year in the last 3 years. Follow the advice of the attorney assisting the US company of whether or not it is advisable to re-join the Indian company.
