  • Blanket L-1B to L-1A conversion and Extension

    Hi,

If a Blanket L-1B to L-1A conversion and extension (applied together) is denied after an RFE, can I continue to work legally in the US until the I-94 end date (December 2015)? The visa expires October 2013. The petition itself did not have an end date, probably because it was a Blanket petition.

    Thanks for your insight!

What do you mean L1B to L1A and extension together. How long have you already spent in US on L1B?

Technically as your I-94 is valid more than 6 Months in the future the extension request will be declined.

If COS to L1A is declined you can continue to be on L1B till I-94 expiry or 5 Years completion on L1B whichever is earlier.

This is my opinion not legal advice.
