Renew EAD or apply for new one ?

Hi,

I had got EAD card about two and half years back ,did not use it then and now its expired. When i applied for it i was on L2 visa and my husband was on L1B visa. Later on as we could not extend our visa we had to travel back to India stay there for some time. Now we are back to USA ,this time again i am on L2 Visa whereas my husband is on L1A visa.

My Questions are :

1. Should i apply for renewal of my old EAD card or should i apply for new EAD card?

2. In case if i have apply for new EAD card, should i mention about my old EAD card (which i never used)?

Search for I-765 instructions on USCIS website. It does not make a very big difference either way.
