What is the Minimum validity required on L1 B Visa to process L2

My Visa expires on 03-03-2014. I am planning for a wedding on December 1st week -2014. What is the minimum duration required to process L2 ? Can i start L2 process after December 2nd week with 2 months left ( Jan & Feb) for expiry ?

Yes No issue. If for any reason the process goes beyond 03-03-2014 and you are still outside US, then you too will have to attend stamping with a new I129s.

Yes only if extension approved. It will not be possible while extension is pending.
