L1 B Visa Stamping before visa expiry

Hi,

Both my L1 B Visa and I94 expire in Feb 2014. Currently my company has applied for extension. Provided the approval is received in time, i plan to take time off in Dec and visit my home country India. Can I go for Visa Stamping in Dec 2013 itself although my visa expires in Feb 2014?
Or is it that visa stamping can be done after the expiry only i.e. Feb 2014?

You can go for stamping in Dec 2013 no issues.

Make sure you put the correct start date in the I129S
